Magic Leap, a startup in the field of virtual reality (VR) seeks to recruit blockchain engineers. The company has announced the open positions on the employment website Greenhouse. The positions include a senior blockchain architect and a number of blockchain engineers.
The job description for the senior blockchain architect position states that the candidate will be in charge of the “planning and execution of a portfolio of blockchain, smart contract, and Ricardian contract technologies in support of the implementation of our Lifestream business function.”
According to Rony Abovitz, Magic Leap founder and CEO, Lifestream is “all the data that you experience and the data of the world around you and how that needs to be protected…” He recognized that protecting the data set is critical.
Further requirements for the position include experience in the Red Belly and Hyperledger blockchain frameworks. It is expected that the applicants for the senior position also have experience with Java, Node, js, Python or Go. Candidates should preferably have experience writing smart contracts for blockchain networks like Ethereum and Corda.
