Former Execs of Regulators Are Managing the Crypto-Company

Omniex is an institution-oriented cryptocurrency trading platform. And now, it has expanded their staff to some new members. The former executives of the USA Securities and Exchange Commission, Arthur Levitt, who was its chairman, and Sheila Bair, the chair of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp, have been appointed to the positions in the Board of Advisors.

Previously, the company made a similar move by appointing Maartje Bus, who was the head of Capital Markets at Thomson Reuters, as a director of strategic partnership of the company, and Tom Eidt, the former chairman of KCG regulatory affairs, was appointed to a position of a chief compliance officer and the general counsel.

Levitt was working for the regulator during more than 8 years, which makes him the longest serving chairman of the SEC. He worked as well for a number of companies, such as Mirror, BitPay, Blockchain, PeerIQ, Sofi, where he used to take the managing positions.

Sheila Bair played a significant role in the USA banking sector during the financial crisis of 2008 and ahs served as a chair in the financial regulator from 2006 till 2011.
