Background information: the Reserve Bank of India introduced restrictions on cryptocurrency operations, with the further ban of the mentioned services. However, the population, the cryptocurrency users and some institutions, didn’t want to take it so easy, hence, they submitted a claim in the Supreme Court of India, with the request to review the ban.
Eleven representatives of different cryptocurrency-related companies and businesses filed a complaint and a request an interim injunction against the new regulation. Last month, all cryptocurrency operations were suspended and banned. The ban wasn’t welcomed, as it affected many individual users as well as companies. The ban caused many arguments even in the government, as from one side, it would help to fight the corruption, but from the other side, closed a way to creating better economical conditions in the country.
