News Agency Partners with a Blockchain Based Journalism company

The Associate Press (AP) News Agency has partnered with a content licensing company that uses the blockchain technology. The company is called Civil.

The main interest of the Associated Press is to explore the opportunities that the blockchain offers, in the fields such as intellectual property rights, ethical journalism support, track content.

As an important part of the collaboration, the AP is going to have own CVL tokens, that will serve as a device to keep the newsrooms accurate and objective.

The AP was founded in 1846 and has been for years one of the biggest news agencies in New York City and the USA. The agency owns and operates 263 news bureaus on more than 100 countries.

Civil is an American startup that is engaged in the development of technology to track ownership rights and content usage in journalism.
