SUBE, the State Public Card of Argentina, Will Accept Bitcoin

The state public transport cars SUBE (Sistema Único de Boleto Electrónico) starts accepting bitcoin. This announcement was made on the 8th of February 2019.
The platform through which one can add money to SUBE is called Alto Viaje. Now it has partnered with Bitex, which provides the blockchain services to businesses. Now, the SUBE card can be funded via the website of Alto Viaje.
MCO at Bitex, Manuel Beaudroit, informed, that SUBE now can be used for trips on a bus, train, subway – the main transportation means used in the country. These transportation means are used by more than 7 mln persons in more than 37 locations in the country. Earlier Alto Viaje has been working with Paypal and Rapipago, a digital payment system used in Argentina.
The main goal of the above mentioned partnership is to provide people with a better access to bitcoin.
The main technology provider behind SUBO is the national bank of Argentina, Banco de la Nación Argentina.
