In a recent tweet sent on March 9, Changpeng Zhao, founder and CEO of Binance, suggested that a fiat-to-crypto exchange could be opening soon in Argentina. Binance is a global cryptocurrency exchange that deals with as many as one hundred different cryptocurrencies.
This tweet follows an article published by CoinSpice, a crypto news website, which detailed the agreement that was signed between the government of Argentina and Binance Labs. It is stated that both parties will invest in blockchain projects. The aforementioned tweet reads: “Guess where we will have a new fiat-to-crypto exchange?”
Nevertheless, the reported plans to open a fiat-to-crypto exchange in Argentina and five other countries have not been confirmed by Binance. However, plans for Singapore and Malta have been officially confirmed by a spokesperson of the exchange. What’s more, since the first month of this year, Binance started supporting credit card crypto purchases. This was possible owing to a partnership with payment processor Simplex.
In related news, eToro has also started providing cryptocurrency trading services in the United States. eToro is an exchange and social network for investors and traders, with more than 10 million users. Its trading operations will involve 13 different cryptocurrencies, which has not been specified yet.
